Covid Job Retention Scheme (CRJS) extended to 31st March 2021

The CJRS is the UK government's flagship support measure for organisations during the COVID-19 pandemic. It offers grants to cover a proportion of the salaries of furloughed staff.

CJRS extended until 31 March 2021

5 November: In light of the ongoing impact of COVID-19 the Chancellor has announced that the CJRS has been extended until 31 March 2021. Under the extension employees will receive 80% of their current salary for hours not worked, up to a maximum of £2,500 for November and December and businesses will only be asked to cover National Insurance and employer pension contributions. Detailed guidance is expected from HMRC on 10 November and ICAEW will update this page in due course.
